Complete redevelopment of a regional tourism website — from front end and back end to server administration, complemented by several AI-powered features.
The challenge
The tourism marketing of a holiday region called for a modern website that makes editorial content easy to maintain, shows visitors relevant places and events in the region, and meets all data protection requirements for embedded third-party services.
The solution
QkSkima handled the complete implementation — front-end and back-end development as well as server administration — based on TYPO3, PHP, Fluid, TailwindCSS, StimulusJS and Turbo. For editorial work, an AI-powered back-end feature for content creation and automatic translation was integrated, complemented by an AI chatbot. A third-party GraphQL API feeds points of interest and events in the region directly into the website. All embedded third-party services — such as video, chatbot and map services — were integrated in compliance with the GDPR via consent management.
The result
The website is live and gives the region a modern, AI-powered tourism platform with privacy-compliant integration of all external services.
